Reading Notes: Epified, Krishna Part B

Through Part A of this Epified: Krishna series, we are introduced to Krishna, the 8th child of Kamsa's sister who was prophesied to kill Kamsa. With the help of the gods, Krishna's father was able to trade Krishna with another child, hiding Krishna from Kamsa's wrath. We watch Krishna grow up as a mischievous boy exemplifying god-like powers, overpowering demon after demon sent by Kamsa to destroy him. Now I will go through Part B.

Krishna Humbles Brahma: Once while Krishna was with his friend, Brahma (creator) appeared and found Krishna sharing food with his friends. To test Krishna, Brahma took the cows they were watching and then kidnapped his friends. With his power he knew Brahma was behind this, and played a trick on him in turn. Krishna's copy of his friends and cows convinced the other villagers that nothing was wrong for a whole year. Brahma learned of this, acknowledged Krishna's powers, and returned his friends.
Krishna Rides Hastin: Krishna's brother Balram bragged one day that he wanted to kill a very strong and violent bull by the name of Hastin. Krishna deemed that killing the bull was not good, but resolved to ride Hastin. Against Balram's advice, Krishna worked for days at his goal, playing the flute for hours near the bull. He trained Hastin to be docile, and attained his task. It was a lesson that taught the village the strength of kindness.
The Savior of Dharma: Krishna wanted to marry Radha since their love had grown so much, but his mother refused. So he went to Nanda who took them to a priest. the priest also told Krishna he couldn't marry because he was the saviour. This made Krishna very sad, but he knew the fact was true. So they didn't marry.
Akrur Invited Krishna: Back with Kansa, the king was very angry that Krishna still evaded him. He resolved to continue trying. He sent Akrur to invite the two brothers to the palace for a celebration. But Akrur was devoted to Vishnu (by default also to Krishna) and revealed Kamsa's true intention to lure Krishna to his death. Krishna decided to go anyways.
Krishna's Farewell: The people of his village did not want Krishna to leave, begging him to stay. He left with his brother while the people cried. Akrur accompanied them and Vishnu reveal his true for to Akrur as they continued their journey to Mathura.
Krishna Slays the King of Mathura
Krishna Arrives at Mathura: They finally arrived, talked to the people of the city, and performed heroic acts. They caught the attention of an old, deformed woman, who knew through a prophecy she would be healed by Krishna. He embraced her and healed her. This act made it's way to Kamsa and he knew Krishna was here.
Krishna Kills Kuvalayapida: Kamsa realized he only one chance to kill Krishna. Kamsa plotted to use an aggressive battle elephant named Kuvalayapida to kill Krishna. He tied it to the entrance of the palace, but Krishna fought the animal, killed it easily, and walked with his brother up to Kamsa's throne.
Krishna Kills Kamsa: Kamsa tried to fend them off with 2 wrestlers, but the men defeated them easily. Then, Kamsa challenged Krishna to left the Divine Bow, but this was easy for Krishna. Kamsa saw this and ordered his army to kill the brothers, who fought all of the men. They reached Kamsa and Krishna fought the king intensely. After a long struggle Vishnu/Krishna defeated Kamsa, freeing the people of Mathura.

Freedom for Mathura: The people were very happy at Krishna's success. Krishna took charge and order the people. Kansa's father was informed from the dungeon and then Krishna meet his true parents who were also imprisoned. Krishna's grandfather was crowned king again.
Dwarka- Krishna's Kingdom: The death of Kamsa triggered war from the dead king's allies. Mathura was left in ruins and Krishna ordered the architect to build Dwarka, a city to relocate Mathura. The attackers burnt the old city while Krishna rose to power.
